Budapest Reunion – Day 1

Budapest, Magyarország

Just like other CEMS clubs visited me and my cohort in Prague the other week, it was now our chance to come experience Budapest.

After a relaxed train ride with Regiojet – a cheap and good train company – we arrived at Budapest Kelenföld station around noon, greeted by wonderful weather. It took us another 30 minutes into the city, where I immediately got myself a Lángos to start the day.

A first impression from Budapest

Upon arriving at the hotel we realised that checkin was only possible a while later, so we went to ‘Retró Lángos Budapest‘ nearby and had some more Lángos + some beer.

Lángos – super tasty but also incredibly heavy. I felt like not eating for a week after finishing this one

After leaving our bags at the Hostel (the S in Hostel stands for Superior as I have been told), we walked towards ‘Vajdahunyad Vára‘, a castle in the north east of the centre. We strolled through it before sitting down in the surrounding park.

Vajdahunyad Vára reminding us of Disneyland

The park is also where I captured the evening sun & sights from above.

In addition I also took some videos, you can find them below.

Viszlát!
