Gibraltar Flight Impressions

Somewhere above Europe

On Monday, 6 February, I took a 4-hour flight from Vienna, Austria to Agadir, Morocco to join my father who was already in the country for an offroad adventure.

Based on a suggestion I got from a frequent traveller friend of mine, I waited until 3 hours before takeoff to do my check-in. This way the booking system had already handed out all the bad seats to the people before me and therefore I got assigned a better one, namely a row 10 isle. But better yet, checking in this late also allowed me to see which seats were still available, and I saw a row 3 window seat free. I therefore waited until the last passenger had boarded and then headed straight to the good seat that enabled me to watch the world below, which I enjoyed a lot.

Now to the good part: it was daytime and great weather, too. I therefore grabbed my camera and took countless shots of the best motives I spotted from up in the clouds.

Leaving Vienna

Takeoff of the plane in front at Vienna International Airport
The first few snow-covered mountains right outside of Vienna

Flying over the alps

Closing in on the Mediterranean Sea

Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar

Reaching Morocco

Approaching Agadir

And after some quick customs procedures I was out of the airport and ready to start exploring.
