Sunday was the day of return. After breakfast, we packed everything up and prepared for the descent. It was a bit cloudier that day, but the view was still clear. So off we went!

On our way down, the path led past many ledges that offered a solid photo spots and a 200°+ surround view, though the sun had not come through the clouds (yet).

Upon walking further, however, the clouds finally moved a little and rays of sunshine brightened the rich colours of the grass. This, together with the saturated green forest and dark, barren rocks, created a beautiful, dramatic scenery that I made sure to capture.
Following the track even further took us along a small stream of freshwater to lead us more into the valley.

We passed a herd of sheep that was making its way up the mountain. While I had to switch to my telephoto lens first, I was quick enough to capture them right before they turned around the corner. I can imagine the path they were walking to be a ski slope during winters.
And not far from there, we met the herd of mountain goats again. With my excitement for animals roaming the scene and my zoom lens on the camera, I was quick to take countless closeups.

We continued downhill and slowly but surely closer back to civilisation.
Reflecting on the short trip, the spectacular variety of nature has as always fascinated me and motivated me to keep seeking adventures like this.
Despite all the colours and motives though, a favourite of mine has to be this plain. It was so simple yet captivating – and I did not even edit the picture.

A presto!
