Tyrol Road Trippin’

Plansee, Tirol, Österreich

After a couple of days relaxing in Tyrol, it was time for my brother and me to get back to Vienna.

That day, the clouds had faded and the sun was out. This made for a particularly scenic drive through Tyrol’s valleys.

One spot that stuck out was Plansee, Tyrol’s second biggest natural occuring lake with 2,87 square kilometres of surface. We drove past it and found the reflection of the mountains and sky in the water to be fascinating, causing me to stop and take out my camera. I captured the parked car alongside the scenic forest and then walked a few meters to the waterfront.

A second after taking these pictures I was already imagining how nice aerial shots would be able to capture the mirroring lake surface, so off went my drone.

With those shots taken, we continued our journey for many more kilometres before reaching the autobahn a little later. A few hours later, we arrived home safe and sound.

Pfiat-eich!
